TATTOO AFTERCARE

Please follow these steps to insure your tattoo heals as best as it can, how you look after it will determine the quality of healing, once you leave the studio, its up to you to make sure your tattoo heals well.

I will wrap the tattooed area with cling-film at the end of our session, the cling film will need to stay on for 1-2hrs after you leave the studio.

Once the cling-film has been removed you will need to wash the area. To do this only use water and don’t use soap. Cup a clean hand with water and splash over the area and rub gently with the palm of your hand, repeat several times until fully clean, dap dry with a clean paper towel. 1-2hrs after your tattoos first wash you will need to clean the area again, this is the same process as the first clean.

Repeat cleaning process 2-3 times a day over the next 1-2 weeks of healing. Take care when drying as not to remove any scabs if present.

Palmers Cocoa Butter or alternative (please consult me before using alternative). This can be applied 1-2 days after leaving the studio to moisturize the tattooed area. Please test Palmers on a non tattooed area if you have not used it before, as in rare cases (ie. nut allergies) can cause skin reaction. Stop using immediately if this is the case, but continue to keep the tattooed area clean. To apply Palmers properly, a small amount should be applied and worked into the area gently, making sure that it is absorbed and not sitting on the skin, if too much is applied, rub the surrounding areas until completely absorbed. When re-applying Palmers, make sure to wash and dry the area before application to avoid build up.
